Ullångersfjärdens Båtklubb Regatta - "Propaganda segling"

Every summer, the Ullångersfjärdens Båtklubb (UBK) held a classic meeting (and fest!) for the High Coast's sailors: its club race!

On Saturday, August 16th, coming from Docksta, Nordingrå and Ullånger, 15 boats sailed the regatta and the crews joyned also the great music & grill party after the race.

MOVEuptorace.jpgFor the 2008 edition the wind was very light, but the boats had "no stops" to sail the run starting from the piers in Ullånger to round two marks in Salsåker and back to the finish line. Winner of the 2008 edition is Torsten Östman on his Scanmar 345 (UBK). Here are the photos of the race >>

In the brand new section - Move Up to Race in the High Coast! - Photo gallery - you find a wide range of images of the UBH regatta :-)

This middle August regatta usually "closes" the seasonal sailing activities of the club that, during the summer, held also a series of "Wednesday races", very appreciated from the sailors around the area. The racing area is a very interesting "arena" where, from ashore, people can very easily follow the boats in action.

The club is located in Ullånger, with a base also in Docksta, so it's really in the heart of the High Coast.
