A "Final Report" about fish-farming in Västernorrland County - Part I

Please see what was stated on page 74 of this report about Fish farming, employment related and tourism:
"... - The huge loss of nutrients limits the expansion plans of fish farms but fish farming only creates few job opportunities. In comparison to the possibility of losing future vacant jobs in the tourist trade perhaps fish farming jobs are not important.
- Future development of tourism in the area, especially with the World Heritage nomination in mind, could result in far more job opportunities. Then it is essential to keep the area attractive for tourists. Compared to other parts of the Swedish coast, this area has not yet suffered from severe algae blooming or disturbing periphytal growth, which makes it excellent for reference purposes as recipients in urban areas of the coast. Serving local fish might on the other hand be a touristic attraction, so fish farming should be developed carefully with regard to envrionmental needs. ..."
