Fact file - the criteria where to place a fish farm

But... if it seems we're out of any parameter of localization of a fish farm, why it should be here, in the middle of a UNESCO's World Heritage?!

Here you can find the report of the Department of Aquaculture - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences of Umeå about the criteria to match on finding the location for a fish breeding. Very clear charts explain also how a fish farm works - and pollutes... (Text in swedish).

Rapport26_3.gifWhat these excellent scientific studies are for, if then nobody take them into account when taking decisions?! We're not talking about the studies of a university on the other side of the World (anyway still interesting for its scientific content): Umeå is few miles right to the north from our coasts... Most fun: this study is addressed to the fish farmers to allow them to find the best situations to estabilish their activities, not to the local communities to help to find arguments to avoid disasters!
