Discover High Coast natural beauty and World Heritage
The High Coast - Höga Kusten, included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, collects some of the most spectacular shorelines in Sweden.
However, a large amount of its best stuff is rarely seen, because it is simply too remote to access by land. Most of the coastline remains wild and undeveloped.
Its shoreline offers a variety of ways to experience the nature and the sea.
Spring and summer is the ideal time to visit this heritage coastline: you couldn't imagine a more suggesting place to sail, look and listen! The High Coast is a protected area that includes one National Park, 18 Nature Reserves, one Nature Conservation Area, 11 Landscape Protection Areas and eight Bird Sanctuaries. This allows you to enjoy a land that will involve you in unique inspiring experiences of its uncommon beauty.
A boat allows you to explore the coast from a different perspective and to step out onto a collection of places and coastline, much of is wonderful.
With a waterside base at weekends, for example, High Coast can be a fantastic place for the boat owner who preferes the daily cruising in contact with natural surroundings.
If you want to venture outside to explore the coast, your boat can take you pretty much anywhere.
Your base camp to start enjoying the High Coast
The piers of the private gästhamn, the banks, the new building housing the marine facilities make Docksta Havet the natural “base camp” to access the sea simply, directly and safely in the heart of the High Coast World Heritage: for a relaxing boating or fishing weekend, or as a departure point for excursions in one of the most beautiful areas of the swedish coastline.
From Docksta Havet you can easily jump to the recreational opportunities in the area: you can plan to walk on top of the Skuleberget or visit the new Naturum Höga Kusten museum, bike to Skuleskogen national park or walk around the Ullångersfjärden or Norrfjärden. The "waterfront" playground at Docksta Havet can be very special: we aim to give you a variety of ways to experience High Coast's "regeneration" and to give a chance to find your own special reason for being drawn to the coastline.
You are also welcome to the exhibitions or events at Docksta Havet or to relax in the Sailor's Club House: just sit down in the sofa with a cup of coffee and indulge yourself with the magical attraction of the water, turn your back for even just a single day on the apparent safety of everyday life.
Docksta Havet is on the E4 and the center of Docksta is 100 mt far from the marina.
There you can find several commercial and service facilities (supermarket, blacksmith shop, bank, petrol station). The bus stop (Docksta Marina) is 50 mt far from Docksta Havet and connects you to the main towns (including Stockholm).
Your boat at Docksta Havet
Day sailing cruisers have different opportunities to moor their boat at the private marina. You can find time-given alternatives to match specific needs or seasonal moorings for your boat, too. Pit-Stop, Day-by-Day, Weekend, Week, Summer: see all the mooring formulas and prices at www.dockstahavet.se.
New services of the marina.
Docksta Havet offers a range of services reserved to the guests of the marina: the renovated "Service Hus" with toilets, showers with warm water all over the day, dressing room and laundry area (washing machine and dryer), the Sailor’s Club House and the private parking area.
New Wi-Fi area for our guests!
At the Base Camp, the sea lovers will find a Wi-Fi area to access the web with a broadband hi-speed connection directly from their boat moored at the pier.
