The playbill of the exhibit "ephemerae"

It has been hosted during summer 2006, from June to the end of August.

The experience and the suggestion of his photographic works helps to underline the importance to re-discover and keep memory also of the places where the "world" of land and the sea meet each other. This means not only coasts but in this case all the area between one of the biggest and historically important commercial harbours of the Mediterranean sea, we are speaking about "il Porto Antico", the ancient harbour of Genua.

The working area of the XX century, the material surfaces of objects, of boats, of piers, the colours of old containers used as warehouses in dilapidated structures inside areas which have been progressively abandoned and doomed to disappear, which are about to be substituted by new buildings, typical of towns and outside port live. The town, among hills and sea seems to claim these border spaces, peripherical for their inner nature which actually divided it from the sea: while taking again possession of them, the town cancels them. Nik re-discovers these spaces through an absolutely untypical perspective and he fixes them in images, unfortunately doomed to disappear.

The metaphorical and cultural background of this event fits the spirit of Mellan Land och Vatten which has been underlined also by a series of future events organized at Docksta Havet.
